Mandate

TPD’s mandate is to support the National Transmission Company of South Africa (NTCSA) network availability and reliability, through the development and execution of expansion, new build and refurbishment projects.

TPD’s mandate is to support the National Transmission Company of South Africa (NTCSA) network availability and reliability, through the development and execution of expansion, new build and refurbishment projects.

Typical Projects Executed by TPD include:

  • Construction of new transmission lines and substations across South Africa.
  • Refurbishment of transmission lines and substations in all provinces of South Africa.
  • Building, replacement and refurbishment of telecommunication equipment and facilities in radio sites and substations throughout South Africa.
  • TPD also executes projects for customers within Eskom Holdings Group (Generation, Distribution, Group IT, etc.) and external to Eskom (i.e. IPP’s).
