The Grid Code Management department administers the application of the Grid Code for users of the IPS and recommends the appropriate changes, subject to the approval of the National Energy Regulator of South Africa. The department also assesses compliance of Generators connecting to the integrated Power System (IPS) in accordance with the South Africa Grid Code (SAGC) requirements.
